Gentry Moyes is an award-winning marketing manager and media director at Mountain America Credit Union. He joined the Haitian Roots board of directors in 2022 and has filled the position of director of communication. 

 

Gentry has worked in marketing and advertising industry for more than 16 years. He earned a Master of Professional Communication (MPC) degree and a bachelor's degree in public relations and advertising from Weber State University. Gentry has worked in digital marketing, media buying, website design, social media management, public relations, project management, email automation, and project management.

Gentry has volunteered with the Utah Diaper Bank, Ranald McDonald House, and the Ogden Rotary Club. He also spent eight years with the Boy Scouts of America as a leader. Gentry has developed a passion for Haiti and education for many years. His mother, Chareyl Moyes, is one of the founders of Haitian Roots and Gentry has a brother who was adopted from Haiti. 

Gentry and his wife, Vanesa have five children and enjoy traveling and spending time in Garden City, Utah, near Bear Lake. In his free time, Gentry enjoys coaching his kid's sports teams, golfing, skiing and spending time with family.
